With the departure of Kayte Christensen from the Sacramento Kings broadcasts, and because I live to serve you people. I thought it would be fitting to provide highlights.

Kayte leaving will equal fewer viewers watching the Kings next year on TV, how about a couple cameo’s with Kayte at Arco Arena, Jim Gray will get old quick and there is already somone on the Rise Guys that does Bill Walton’s voice.

Hey Kayte,
I hope that you will continue to do the pre and post game shows with Jason Ross. I rarely get an opportunity to watch the Kings on TV, so haven’t seen you much there, but I value your intellegent commentary on the radio. Coach T was great, but since you started doing the show last year, I learned so much more about basketball.
I’m truly sorry that you will not be part of the great team of Grant and Jerry (their loss), so I am hopeful that you can continue on the radio.
Sincerely,
Sandi

Kayte is history, kaput, gone. No KHTK, no Comcast, nothing. There is a likelihood that she could be doing ESPN women’s basketball or sideline reporting, since she did some of that this past year. But don’t hold your breath that Kayte Christensen will be doing local broadcasting next year. According to Kayte her contract expires in September and the Kings have opted to go in another direction, meaning that she was given the old heave ho.
Despite the tremendous fan support that Kayte has received from loyal Kings followers there’s no indication that anyone is changing their tune in regards to renewing her contract. While it’s kind of a drag that Kayte is being sent down the road the future is probably very bright indeed for employment opportunities. Most people feel that Kayte will end up doing sideline reporting nationally and there’s no need to worry about where she’ll end up. Perhaps this is true… we shall soon see.
